This article was created with the software version EXScan S_v3.1.2.0.
After the activation process for the first use, the calibration process is required to start scanning.
We recommend repeating the calibration process each time the scanner changes environment or moves to a different light environment.
The calibration process consists of 3 steps of calibration and one step of white balance test. We will show these steps in order.
Calibration
Step 1
As seen in the photo, you need to place the calibration board on the support with the 3 large points on the board facing down. Then click on "Capture".
Step 2
In this step, turn the calibration board so that the 3 large dots are facing to the right. Then bring them closer together so that the end of the dotted area and the end of the rotating table are aligned.
Step 3
The last step is like the second step, do the same to the left side. The 3 large dots should be set facing up at this step.
After these steps are completed, the software will make the final adjustments. You can see the progress on the bar.
If the calibration process was done correctly, you are expected to see the following message:
White Balance
After a successful calibration, white balancing should also be done. You need to completely turn the calibration board and capture over the white surface.
After completing this step, you are expected to see the following message if it has been done successfully.
Now you are ready to go and start your scans.
